mosaic of diverse landscapes and
artistic traditions. Your itinerary choices
include

Acapulco Mexico.
Acapulco attracts millions of tourist.  It's
landscape caters to all taste and
preferences. Travelers are marveled by
its tropical beaches, mountainside views
and jungle scenes.  Acapulco has been a
getaway heaven to movie stars for over
50 years. Acapulco is 229 miles
southwest of Mexico City along the
Pacific ocean. This region has the oldest
and newest resort towns. Acapulco the
oldest and biggest while newly
developed ones are Huatulco, Ixtapa and
Puerto Escondido.

Acapulco Mexico has sun 365 days a
year. The day last 24 hours. non-stop.
sun and relaxation, the city offers the
music, museums shopping and sports.
It's a city that never sleeps. The
Acapulco Bay Area covers over four
miles of beach shoreline. Most activities
are at the beach, though the downtown
area is full of life. Acapulco is home to
cliff diving.

Zihuatanejo
L
ocated in the state of Guerrero on the
Pacific Coast of Mexico about 144 miles
northwest of Acapulco. The modern
tourist resort of Ixtapa is only 5km
distant. Zihuatanejo is the original
settlement and the actual town. Ixtapa is
a government-planned tourist resort that
was begun in the early 1970's and
constructed on what was once a coconut
plantation. Zihuatanejo has the old-
fashioned charm of traditional Mexican
culture while Ixtapa is more akin to a
transplanted miniature of modern
Acapulco.

Manzanillo
It is a popular weekend destination for
Guadalajara residents and also attracts
American and Canadian vacationers
searching for a less developed, more
serene setting.
For many visitors this slow-paced
expansion is a blessing, since Manzanillo
has remained largely undeveloped and
unspoiled. Tropical fruit plantations and
verdant jungle vegetation are abundant.
Long continuous stretches of untouched
beach are easily accessed from the
area's resorts.
Outside of the bustle of downtown, the
pace is slow and casual. Shopping,
dining, nightlife and sightseeing are
subdued by comparison to other Mexican
Riviera resorts. A main draw for sports
enthusiasts is the areas excellent deep
sea fishing. The sailfish catch here is
excellent.

Acapulco Attractions

Any information about Acapulco
Attractions would be lacking if it
didn't start with the famous Acapulco
cliff divers. The highest of the dives
preformed (and most impressive) is
from 130 feet (40 m.) and must be
perfectly timed to hit the sliver of
water with the incoming surge of surf
. . . and even then, it's only 12 feet
deep! -- So you see, there is a good
reason for them to pray at the shrine
on top before jumping. I'll need to find
out if they get the catholic "last
rights" before they jump as well :)
